Rent a Room scheme/housing benefit

Hi all
I have a mortgage and live alone. I therefore get a reduction in my council tax, think I pay about 25% less.
I am thinking of renting out my spare room under the Rent a Room scheme, where you can charge up to £4250 tax free. If I got somebody in it would mean the household would pay the full council tax as I wouldn't be a sole occupant anymore. If I got someone in claiming JSA and housing benefit, how would that affect my council tax.. ie how much would I be required to pay?
Thanks for your help

I've got a lodger and have to pay the full council tax and no longer get the 25% discount. Not sure on your second point but I should imagine that you will still have to pay the full council tax.Debt 30k in 2008.:o Cleared all my debt in 2013 and loving being debt free
