A bit a advice

First I will tell you what benefits I am getting for my son then you will see my question:
a dependent still in full time education over 16
child benefit
CSA money for dependent over 16
EMA
He has been doing a full time college course which he is in every day of the week.
He has got on another course not with college for 26 weeks and gets £75 for two days. At the end of this course it is hoped that he will get an apprenticeship.
What he is doing is not going in college for two days so not getting his EMA and going in for the three days remaining cos he want to finish the course and get the certificates.
Do I have to tell anyone what he is doing or because he is still doing college leave things as the are? He said if he tells college then they will ask him to leave and he only has two months to go with it.
I think I should tell the DWP what he is doing when I spoke to connexions they said he is still in college so leave things until he finishes his college course.

Well done him for trying but it may come back on you. The best advice I can give is have a word with CAB or Welfare Rights and if they can't help they may point you in the right direction.0

You don't get EMA, your son does.
I can't see that this is any different from your son taking a couple of days to go out somewhere; he loses his EMA but nothing else changes.0
