    If you explain the situation they can pay for a taxi for you from home to the office and back.

    Update - rang today and they got the lady to ring back - she called at teatime and was very nice and understanding.
    Did the interview over the phone - no problems.

    That's great news, I am happy for you :)

    Seems to vary a lot depending on who you speak to and where you live, I was told that I would have to attend mine (despite asking for a telephone interview as I explained what pain it would cause me) because it's not possible to have it done over the phone!

    Mind you, this was Norwich job centre and i've had problems with them many times before!
