Santander-Current account overdraft charge 50p per day.

I have just had a letter from my bank - Santander - saying that they are going to charge me 50p per day for going into my overdraft, it used to be a %age which would work out to 50p a month :mad:. I Know this in fact their money im using, but I just feel like the banks are finding another way to scrape a bit more money from us customers. Does anyone else pay for using an overdraft or can recommend a bank that has a current account that doesnt charge?????

yeah they just changed it i was with a&l and it was 50p per day capped at 10 days now its 50p per day capped at 20 days.

Could you switch to their zero current account, might work out better for you if you are eligible for it.

The interest is charged as a % still on that account.
