EDF Arrangment Cancelled/Help

Hi,
I have a large gas with EDF £900,have been paying approx £100 per month but have missed a couple of arrangments which were cancelled.
Paid £100last month.
Today a rep called round,i missed him.
So called up and advised i could pay £200 today over the phone and asked to set up plan, was told as i have missed arangments the only option to avoid court action is to pay £670 today or pre-pay meter.
At this point phone starts to go flat,in form that i would charge and plug in and call back.
Phone flat, call back, get through to collections , first comment by Mr rude manager why are you calling back after being told no plan could be set up, in a nutshell i offered to increase to pay over phone £280 and set up plan, refused, so i inform i would check my latest bill to show less usage now rather than over cold winter and call back.
Call back very helpful lady and i explain position, she excepts £200 and sets me up on £100 per month. Great, wait 15mins later call back from previous Mr unhelpful manager informing me she had made a mistake and that my plan would be cancelled, my money would not be refunded"as you owe us that, and i will WATCH your account personally!!!"
Complained to his line boss, no avail.
Question can they cancel a plan when set up?
Any advice?
Many Thanks

They can do what they like. Have you considered a prepayment meter? If they are going to force you to have one it's better that you agree now rather than later as they will add charges to what you owe.

They can to some extent do what they like, however the plan was defaulted on. How many plans you defaulted/ how long have you not paid, missed pays etc? You may find also that its in ther terms to change your meter
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
