Who knows? Though I could venture a guess.... I bought a few from DealExtreme a while back. All installed using the native stacks in Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7.

Looks like you get value for money. Pay very little money and get very little value.
Never let it get you down... unless it really is as bad as it seems.

By reading the negative reviews, you would find that the device doesn't work for a significant number of people.

But how much working electronics can you actually expect to get for less than £2 (plus free shipping)?

Do you really think that the thing wasn't working? I would venture that a certain amount of ignorance was involved.

Sounds like people dont know how to use the device properly (such as installing soleil etc) either that or its not manufactured to reliable standards.

Quite possibly/probably! But the fact that the purchaser couldn't get the device to work was the reason for the negative review...

With all five of mine, it was just a matter of plugging it in.

Perhaps some people become disorientated when there wasn't a full Blue Soleil suite installed...or perhaps there are issue with Windows 7 64 bit as that is the only variation that I did not try.

I read some of the reviews. So people just had no idea.

I've got 2 of them and use them on 2 PC's and 2 laptops with no problems once I learned how to use the software.
