Really stupid question about email - sorry!

I'm running the risk of asking the most stupid question ever on the techie board but I've googled and can't find the answer!
If I receive an email from a noreply email address (which I have) and I reply to it (which I haven't yet), where will it go? What I'm wanting to know is - if a company sets up a no reply email, does that prevent replies from getting through at all or do they just not want you to reply (but if you do, it'll get to them anyway)
I can't find an alternative email address for the company in question, hence the question.
All google searches seem to be re how to set these types of email addresses up
Thanks

It just gets bounced back to you - try it and see what happens.0

I don't know the actual company - that's part of the problem. The no reply email address looks as if it's from Mastercard but it's actually to do with a competition run by a promo company in conjunction with Mastercard and another company.
I will venture over to the comps board to see if anyone there has details re which marketing company is running the comp.
Thanks again for answering
