I have been keeping a diary of all events since March but have no police evidence as such but alot of it has been dealt with by the community school police officer so all they have to do is contact him. The window cleaner incident was last week and the police weren't actually called they were in the area and happened to see daughter and followed her home and gave her a strict warning, there was no incident number or anything as window cleaner was very lenient.

The school have continuosly let me down from the day she started there. A great example of this... She started in sep 2010 as a year 7 student, prob feeling very nervouse as we all do when we start secondary school. 2 weeks into it and she was attacked after school by 3 boys in her year, they set fire to her books, stole her packed lunch box, ripped her brand new bag (pauls boutique bag....it was fake lol but still cost 30 quid), poured water all over her and locked the gate so she was stuck on the field for an hour.

The poor mite wet herself, darent move for half hour as they threatened to hurt her if she told anyone and was covered in mud. She found a gap in the fence and climbed through and ran back to school and the head of year (same woman who did dla report) said she would deal with it tomorrow and sent her home, soaking wet.

My daughter explained they were gonna hurt her if they saw she'd told teacher but she said it'll be ok....the head of year didnt even see her out safely or ring me as she promised daughter she would do. I was ringing the school frantically to see where daughter was and was minutes away from ringing the police when she turned up. I got the police involved and made a complaint about the head of year and needless to say daughters behaviour was diabolical for weeks after that but its not suprising.

No! Basic rule of DLA, don't expect them to contact anyone, let alone someone who is not a health professional, if you want evidence to be considered make sure you get hold of it and send it yourself.

E.G. Ex OH's DLA claim was initially turned down because they contacted his original hospital and not the one he had been transferred to, even though I contacted them to tell them what had happened. Hospital refused to write unless DLA contacted them and DLA wouldn't contact them. GP didn't have a clue (she was prescribing meds without contacting the hospital which could have made his condition worse).

I just feel extremely sad that this little girl born into this world an innocent baby has ended up like this,

I hope she gets the help and support she deserves.

Why is she still at that school? I'd have moved her or taken her out with their attitude!

I know exactly what you mean and nothing would give me greater pleasure but i have no way of getting her to any other school. the nest nearest one is just over 3 miles away and I cant get her there as I have the younger ones to take (i dont drive) and cant get hep with school trasport (which is 1 of the reasons i have put in a claim for dla to get some transport help).

You won't get help with transport with DLA unless on high rate mobility, which is highly unlikely you will get as your DD can walk.

Seriously?? I filled in a form to get help with transport from the council and it says is your child receiving dla as 1 of the questions but it doesnt say which rate. I really dont know what i'm going to do then. They pick up our next door neighbours son who has Autism so its not like they are going out of their way

Please Don't Panic - isn't it always the way that doubt is cast when all the phonelines are closed!?

What did the transport people say when you rang them? Did they specify Care or Mobility or a specific level?

If you can't remember, or they didn't say: Can you ask your next door neighbour?

And don't not bother to apply even if she won't qualify for the transport. If DLA is awarded you'll have a minimum of £18.95/week to help overall.

Well I rang them back on Friday and they said they'd ring me back with a decision that afternoon but not heard back. They said to put on the form about next door getting the transport outside my house eachg morning as that will help so I did. They didnt mention dla at all but i put in the form ive put a claim in and briefly explained daughters problems. Parent partnership seem to think its unlikely she will get help with travel at this early stage as shes only on school action with learning difficulties :(

They may well be correct, but if DLA is awarded that might make a huge difference. Have you got the CAMHS appt through yet?
