Which Frame Sealant?

Need to seal around a wooden door frame and some plastic windows.
Which of these would be most suitable and what is the difference?

Can`t help as regards any differences but be aware that not all sealants are overpaintable if that is a requirement.

If your doing the work outside , then use the exterior ( first link)

If you are tidying up the inside then use the other one - Shouldn't get any mildew build up as it has a fungicide in it. (second link)

Thanks both. I think what threw me is that the builders silicone ( 2nd one) states 'uv resistant' which i assume you need for outside windows ( which mine are) whereas the 1st one doesn't.
Plus one is acylic based the other silicone and i don't know what properties each has.
Guess I'll go with the one that gives me a big clue - " Exterior Frame Sealant":D

Get yourself some Dow Corning frame sealant - its far superior with regards to the bond and sealing properties.

Will cost you a £2 more but worth it.

Acrylic may tend to crack after a few years if left bare, but silicone or polysulphide mastic will not

Acrylic will take paint or varnish/stain, but silicone will not

So use an acrylic mastic if it needs to be over painted, and a 'high modulus' silicone for plastic frames to brickwork

Don't forget to dip your finger in fairy liquid when smoothing it down

Why "high modulus"? I thought that was less flexible. Is that an advantage when sealing brick to plastic frames?
The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.
