Does the halifax clarity card allow for a statement? I Just had my first statement that is dated the 5th may to pay by 31st of may. Most cards are 59 days right?
I want to start to use this card as my everyday card (I always pay my cards in full at the end of the month) but I just want to be able to work out if I start spending on it today when will I next need to pay by?
thanks
chris

but the statement at 5th may covers purchases from 6th april to 5th may, so theres your 59 odd days.Target Savings by end 2009: 20,000
current savings: 20,500 (target hit yippee!)
Debts: 8000 (student loan so doesnt count)
new target savings by Feb 2010: 30,0000 -
Thanks for the quick reply, so basically if I had started spending yesterday, the next time I am going to have to pay a bill will be 4/5th of July?0

I always look to make largish purchases just after my statement date, so I can get the full amount of days to pay.
For the past few years, I have had cards with 0% deals, but still prefer to pay off ASAP if possible and sometimes 2 months is enough.
I then keep the 0% deals for really large purchases, that are too expensive for me to pay off within 2 months.0 -
Another option is to run two cards, with their statement dates set 2 weeks apart.I always look to make largish purchases just after my statement date, so I can get the full amount of days to pay.
You then spend for 2 weeks on one card, then switch to the other, thereby gaining 44-59 days interest free credit on every purchase made.
Obviously you need to be paying by DD to eek out these maximums.0
