I would never just consign them to the bin but file them all away in a deep, dark drawer and bring them out at xmas to compare with friends and family.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Yes, keep them to show others, mine have been useful to convince others not to pay.
I carry my debt collector threatograms from 3 years ago, in my handbag and show them to colleagues if the subject of parking tickets ever comes up. And I work in a VERY busy place with lots of staff, who are mostly now very clued up about this scam.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I've also noticed that all of the ltters I have received from 5 different companies have ALL been written on A4 paper, and put in envelopes...do you think they are related??Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Sadly "mostly now very clued up" is not the norm ...according to the minutes of the committee debating the Protection of Freedoms Bill the payment rate is 74% ..still a pretty profitable scam that needs taking down !0
