Right, house has gone back on the market today, after our buyers pulled out 9 weeks after offering. Then our agent wouldn't release us from their marketing contract for two weeks, which is up today, so as of today we are with another agent.
We had a viewer at 130, got another at 430, another on Thursday and another on Saturday, so a positive start, but not expecting to sell till after Christmas.

Good luck to you - keep everything crossed. At least viewers this close to xmas should be serious contenders!0

Let's hope so - I now have another two viewers today and another two on Saturday, which is many more than we thought we'd get at this time of year. I just wish it would stop raining - both viewers yesterday trudged mud all through my nice clean house! My sig's too large, apparently - so apologies to whoever's space I was taking up.:lipsrseal0 -
Good luck with the sale
I dont think it matters what time of year if people are serious enough, obviously there be less demand but you also have a head start on those who sell after the new year. 0 -
It's great you've so many viewers. Hopefully some of them will come up with the goods!
We lost our buyer after 9 weeks too. I was so gutted. I had no worries about the buyers and it was a real shock. Anyway one week after our buyers pulled out we agreed the sale again - it'll happen for you too!Stercus accidit0 -
Ask them to take their shoes off! I did and no one objected - shows you are looking after your carpets. ;-)0

Well we got an offer today of full asking price, and this time we'd put it on the market for three and a half grand more, which we got! So hopefully this sale will go through OK. Also the chap we are buying off has hung on for us, so we will continue with that purchase too.
So now here comes the worry of what a survey may bring up on our house! But at least we have a few extra pounds for negotiation if necessary. My sig's too large, apparently - so apologies to whoever's space I was taking up.:lipsrseal0 -
That's good news for you, the new agent must be pretty good!0

Well would you believe it, the buyers have pulled out. Personal reasons apparently, although the EA can't get hold of them to find out why, as they just left a message on their answerphone, and now nobody can contact them. Merry Christmas to you to.
So viewings starting again today. My sig's too large, apparently - so apologies to whoever's space I was taking up.:lipsrseal0 -
Sorry to hear that, but try and take comfort in the fact that if you have had two offers to date your house must be desireable. Maybe they decided to wait and see what new offerings are on the market in the New Year? We have found a second house that we like and are going for viewing no 2 Saturday. We haven't sold ours yet and all is quiet on western front over christmas so I am not too concerned about finding a buyer in New Year. Try and put the whole moving thing to the back of your mind (I know it isn't easy) and enjoy the next week before the bedlam starts again! At least your vendor is willing to hang on for you!0

Same thing happened to us last year! Our buyer rang us on new years eve (Oh birthday) and said their buyer had pulled out, we had a happy new year I can tell you! Went back up for sale on the 2nd Jan, and a couple of days later got an offer. Luckily our sellers hung on for us and we are now in our new home. Good luck, you've had plenty of viewers so I'm sure your buyer will be along very soon.0
