I'm looking for help for my daughter.
She lives about 200 miles away from us in the UK. She has severe agoraphobia and can't leave the house. Has no friends and doesnt see anybody apart from the deliveries she has for food etc.
She desperately wants to come home to live with us but is terrified of going out of the house and travelling
Her doctor is no use. Prescribes her a few tranquilisers and tells her to go to the surgery. She has tried different doctors at the practices in the town. The only help they offer is therapy at a local centre which she cant get to because of her agoraphobia.
So she is stuck in a situation that she wants to get out of.
We are wondering if we could arrange privately for an ambulance to bring her home with her being sedated so that she could manage the travelling. Would we be able to get a private doctor to arrange for sedation and would that have to go through her GP?
Any ideas would be gratefully recieved.
Thanks

It isn't a situation I have ever come across, but I would guess that the cost would be very high due to the distance and the need for specialist care. Could you not drive up and get her yourself, so if she stirs from her rest she has familiar faces around her?Gone ... or have I?0

I have health problems myself which means I cant go and get her which is why I was looking for other ideas0

Start with the BAA, ask the question, there are also state registered paramedics. So Doctor / Nurse / Paramedic as dmg24 says it will cost. There would also need to be disclaimers / legal stuff to put in action before the move itself. Write to them here.Disclaimer : Everything I write on this forum is my opinion.
