Building work

Hello again everyone...

I'm going to be moving into a house in January. Fingers crossed!!!

The current owners have a garage extension accessible via the living room. I wish to create a hallway which would give access to the living room (on the right) and to the garage extension on the left. The jobs that would have to be done are as follows:
1. Knock down one of the walls of the original porch.
2. Block up existing entrance to living room.
3. Create new entrance to living room opposite entrance to garage extension.
4. Block off staircase which is a feature of the current living room.

Now...has anyone had a similar job done to their place? If so, how much did it cost?

Also, could anyone recommend any builders in the west Lancashire/Wigan region?

Cheers,

Martin

    Hello

It is very difficult to price such jobs without viewing the job in person as it depends on size of walls etc, every job is different.
but at a rough guess if i was going to price it, I would estimate at around the thousand mark, that would include the plastering of blocked up areas also.

Im on the w yorks/east lancs border though, so i dont know any builders in your area unfortunately.
