I am looking to replace and old pc but dont know what to buy.

What processor AMD/ Intel ?
Dont do gaming so no need for seperate graphics.
Mainly for browsing, banking and email.
Any assistance would be much appreciated.

some of the HP (not Compaq ) 'business' machines are very nice indeed/ I'd probably opt for an Intel /BLOODBATH IN THE EVENING THEN? OR PERHAPS THE AFTERNOON? OR THE MORNING? OH, FORGET THIS MALARKEY!

budget?
and whats wrong with old system? as most old systems (generally upto 10 years old) are more than good enough for your listed usagesDrop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0 -

HP (not Compaq )is good , but you really need a "branded" PC.
You can search for custom built PC (in most cases this is the cheaper way to haveup to date PC)
On your second question - most of AMD CPUs are budged orientated ,Intel provides rougher power for their products (top performance for recourse demanding applications ,but the price is ...... ) Mainly for browsing, banking and email - AMD0
