depression and dla refused

hi all , had a renewal and subsequent rejection of dla trying to get help with appeal but im really dreading going there and talking, to top it all off the part time gp whos taken over the practice has not mentioned fibromyalgia on the form so it makes me look like im lying!

she also didnt realise i have problems at all until recently when i had to take someone else in and explain for me that i cannot even look after myself.

im so worried!

thanks guys i am getting help but the issue is trying to get my issues clearly set out as with depression sometimes i can talk better think better than other times so i get muddled!
  • The bit about not mentioning fibro - my GP forgot to mention RA on my last renewal, as they hadn't updated the diagnosis from the hospital, which I think triggered a medical. But they increased my award to HRM & HRC as a result, so I think you can stop worrying about being thought a liar.

Take your time and write it down over a course of a few days (like a doctor's visit) and then, if you choke up, it's all written down for them to look at. Which goes for getting help, speaking to doctors or tribunals - it helps on all occasions.
