Boiler installation problem

Hi,

I'm about to buy a house for the first time, and the vendors have provided a gas safety certificate for the gas boiler, but are unable to locate the installation paperwork. The installation was done less than 12 months ago, and we're slightly concerned it wasn't done properly; what do we need to do to make sure it is safe, and to get paperwork stating that in case/when we decide to move and the next purchasers want this evidence?

Thanks for any help! :)

    Hi,

You need a Building Regulations Certificate of Compliance, not a gas safety cert they are two different things.

Go to Gas Safe and see the section Building Regulations certs.

If one cannot be provided then you (or your solicitor) can go to your local authority and find out if was ever notified.
