Cost of building above a tandem garage?

Hi all,

We are looking at buying a house which has a tandem garage and space above to build a master bedroom/ensuite. I know that the garage has the footings for going above and others in the road have done this.

Does anybody have any idea of what the cost of this is likely to be? Based on the measurements below the space is likely to be around 3.4m x 11m.

Many thanks, Ging

the standard price budget formula is 1k per sq m.
you can reduce that cost if the footings are ok. you will need to prove that to the BC officer.
go out and get 3 quotes.
    Get some gorm.

    Thanks.

In total I think we are looking at about 30 square meters and I have the paperwork to show that the footings are suitable for 2 storey. So would £30,000 be about right?
