A question re the Halifax Clarity Card.
If you use it only when abroad ie once or twice a year, would Halifax close the account?

Well that's up to them, but I am intending to use it that way.
I would expect not, but sometimes companies have a clear out and a change of policy, so really it's a case of suck it and see.
If it's important to keep it then you could put some food/petrol on it every now and again, just to make sure they don't close it.

Infrequent use of any card will result in the lack of a spending profile, and make it more likely that the transactions will be blocked, and you will need to contact the bank.

Without trawling through the MSE website again, I think I recall Martin saying that this is what he recommends, but I wanted to check what the consensus was.

Any advice on the best AND safest way to pay this card whilst abroad, if you don't have a Halifax current account?
