Free home buying starter pack?!

Hi, sorry to bother you all and probably in the wrong forum but here goes.

A few weeks ago i came across (on mse) a free pack that was being offered to FTB or possibly any buyers. The scheme had been around for a few years and the company involved contacted your EA and got your details and sent a pack out with free bits in (samples, bulbs, money off vouchers etc)

Problem is i seem to have lost the post, dont suppose anyone knows the website or happens to have a link for the original post!!

I am still looking but hoping somone will know 'off the top of their head'

Thank you ver much! :D

Good luck for actually getting it - I was meant to get one after filling in a form at the beginning of my new rental place but nothing has ever been received.
By the time I realised there was no real point in complaining.

Hope this one works for you tho!

I got one the other day when I moved into my new home. It was there already when we opened the front door. It depends on the agent, not the company.

Oh and it was lovely! :)

I'd never apply for one as they don't say in which areas they operate. So I figure it's a marketing ploy and I'd end up not getting one. And it seemed to be full of stuff I'd not want/use.

Also, it's only if you're using an agent - as it relies on them pumping the agent for some (undisclosed) business reason.

So for those reasons... I'm out.

They cover the whole of Britain.

Its got; toilet rolls, kitchen paper, washing up liquid, tea, sugar, clothes washing tablets and milk inside plus lots of advertising. So all pretty useful.

The only business reason the agent gets is their logo on the box for free in return for suggesting the box to the buyer/renter who in return have to agree for their email and/or phone number to be given out. Thats it. No other reason.

BTW I don't work for them; just appreciated the box. There is a girl on here who does work for them though.

    Just an update

Went on their site an applied for a box (had to give contact details of estate agents etc) and heard nothing back. Not sure if it was because estate agent refused or not but been moved in 6 weeks and no box. Although halifax did send us a nice little hamper thing with a few essentials!:D

I think it would work best if the estate agent is already signed up for the scheme and suggests it to you (as apposed to me suggesting it to the EA) cheeky but if you dont ask you dont get and sometimes even when you do ask you still dont get!

we had one waiting on the doorstep when we moved in; we didn't apply for it, it just seems our details had been passed to them by the EA. I don't recall signing anything to give them permission to send our details on though. Seem top be getting a bit of junk mail from the companies that sponser the box, but it just goes straight in the recycling.

AFAIK they're free samples, hoping to get business later on. Nothing seedy or untowards :)
