PPI Claims, How Long ?

We are currently waiting on a decision from the FOS regarding PPI on 7 loans taken out with Beneficial Finance over a number of years.

Obviously we appriciate that 7 PPI claims is probably a major undertaking, however this has been going on since November last year with no sign of an outcome.

We have not even been assigned an adjudacator as yet, and cannot speak to anyone at the FOS as there is just an automated message saying they have a high volume of claims to work through and will be in touch.

So we have to rely on letters from the FOS which are few and far between. Any suggestions how to move things along ? We are trying to be patient but it seem to be taking forever lol.

Thanks in advance.

    Hi there

Unfortunately due to high volumes of complaints, and they have been adding up over the last few months due to complaints being moved on to them because of the Judicial Review - on top of what they were already overloaded with.

They do normally state 6-12 months, but can take up to 18 months.
back in 2006-07 mine taken aprox 14-15 months then.

However, if your in financial hardship, let them know with the reasons, and request if you can have yours fast tracked.

One of mine although its rather complexed has been with them since Oct 2009, and I am due to hear an update by the end of this month.

Contact them and ask them for an update if you've not heard for a while, good luck and hope your not waiting too much longer.;)
