Personally, I wouldn't touch FD with a bargepole, loads of other Companies matching and beating insurance out there, ie, Barclays, TSB etc. Why don't they just all offer cheaper insurance to start with. Just a sprat to catch a mackerel.0

Well, maybe that was a bit harsh, but they started off all sweetness and light, offering the best rate, service, blah glah, a bit like ING, then, when, they've got the customers on board, they start reducing rates, in the case of FD charging for current accounts and the like. And with this insurance matching, they have joined in with everyone else.0
