As I said earlier, Scotland has new rules which people need to be aware of. Thankfully the criteria for council "takeover" of these spaces has been VERY limited.....probably as the PPC don't want to relinquish their dubious money raising to allow councils to do it properly. Makes you wonder if its about considerate parking or revenue......

As for Blue Badges, they mean nothing in private car parks, if I wish to park in a disabled space I will. In fact the only space I won't park in is the motorcycle bays, seeing as there is only one of them.

During the day when disabled spaces are being used, or parent and child, then I will use another space. At night, between about 11 and 6am when these spaces are always empty then I will park on them as I see fit. Yet to see a child in Tesco at 3 in the morning.

Sensible parking is what is required, not draconian threats from little men in yellow coats.

Ans @Schedule, If I am entering a contract by parking in your patrolled car park, then YOU WILL be responsible for any damage to my vehicle whilst it is there.

Was the ticket issued by a private company or a council?

If you are, then write off to them with proof you are disabled and needed to park there and then everything should be OK.

    Continued...

for us to hit "reject appeal" and carry on sending you lovely letters demanding more and more money. Hey we might even try taking you to court in the hope you don't put in a defence, we don't even have to pay the DVLA the fee.
