ok, so onto another week.... laptop was collected last thursday, and my call back from my technical team member at almost 7pm, he called early! thumbs up on that one, he gave me all the info i needed to write my complaint letter, and told me the computer would be written off within 24-48 hours...

Guess what... i called up yesterday to chase up, it's not yet been looked at, what a surprise there, but i did get a call from my customer services lady also keeping an eye on the case to tell me the complaint letter has been received and are awaiting computer writeoff to proceed with any claim.

I decide to call up again today to chase it up, and still no more info at all, customer services advisor just told me what i already knew and pretty much blocked all access to supervisor saying nothing more could be done.... eventually after pressuring i got a supervisor, refused to give me his surname but did get his first name and team, who has agreed to email the workshop to try and get it looked into quicker...

SOOOOO despite the company being all over tv as a bad company they still havent pulled themselves up by the bootstraps ...

don't know if anyone is still interested in this or not, but it's a useful reference for people and myself in the future, called up today to find out what's happening, despite having been told by 2 different departments that a writeoff request has been put through over a week ago, the laptop has still not been looked at, and the latest news is that it's actually only been taken in as a normal repair, things seem to be going from bad to worse here! i would strongly advise people at this moment not to get any of these policies at all!

I would not advise differently especially if going for a more delicate laptop and you have young children or pets.
If your getting a table top pc and no small children and do not look at dodgy website then your less likely to require it.

Like i have said before they are hassle but laptop has broke a few times (5 i think) now and always got it back in the end with a little hassle.
Last time they updated windows software as well.
It would have cost for more for a new PC.

It will not be long now before it will be to hard to repair and get vouchers.

Plus got a new tv off them a few months ago.

well finally here i am with a new laptop, so looks like the issue has finally pretty much been sorted, i have no issue with these plans at all WHEN you get the service you pay for, i have yet to have my complaint itself looked into, but when i finally had the right people on the case things got done.... from this morning the system saying it was a repair job (which last week was actually a write-off) to at 4.20 this afternoon my old machine written off and a voucher ready to claim against... it's amazing what people can do when they want to, in my instance i actually got a better laptop, the case was marked priority and instead of doing a spec valuation, they gave me the cost of my machine new to spend, the voucher was to the value of just under £430, the machine i have now is an acer aspire, which was currently at £449, i had the option of being given a £500 Dell as it was the only one in store with the 17" screen, but have been advised by friends ha this was the better animal,

long and short, job sorted and done, not without a lot of hastle, but eventually found the right people, and those few people i cannot thank enough and leters will be sent to make them shine, the others on the otherhand could do with a course in cus. services and attitude
