Questions about Skoda Octavia

Hi all,
Ridiculously embarrassing questions but I need some answers. My company's hired a 11 reg plate Skoda Octavia and I have some problems with this car.
1. How do you raise the steering wheel? Its a bit cramped for me and I don't have the manual for the car.
2. And since I have embarrassed myself here, might as well do the ultimate... where's the button to open the fuel hatch so I can get to the fuel cap?
I much rather embarrass myself here than get stranded out nowhere.
I handle my car easy enough. This is new to me though.

The fuel cap might be the kind that you push in and it pops out, providing the doors are unlocked.
Steering wheel height adjustment should be a handle under the steering column, as per any other car.0 -
I've an Octavia (albeit 5 years old now but I doubt that much has changed in the facelifted model).Snooping4Value wrote: »1. How do you raise the steering wheel? Its a bit cramped for me and I don't have the manual for the car.
Feel under the steering wheel - slip your hand down the smooth plastic towards the pedals and you will come to a gap. In there is the lever to adjust the height/reach. Pull it down towards the floor (it's probably quite stiff) and you will be able to adjust height and reach by lifting up/down and pushing in/out respectively. Push the lever back up to lock the wheel in position.Snooping4Value wrote: »2. The fuel hatch only opens if all doors are unlocked - my remote unlocks the driver door on the first blip and all doors on the second blip. Once all the doors are unlocked push the left-hand side of the fuel cover and it will pop out - it's hinged on the right-hand side of the cover. To close push it back in again until it clicks.
You can also unlock all four doors using the little lock/unlock button on the centre console. It probably has a picture of a key on it - one side locks the doors, the other unlocks.
