This is a bit of a tricky situation..I want to marry my partner who is a citizen of Burkina Faso..she doesn't speak english, I speak French..I am a british citizen
How can I marry her if she can't speak english? basically she won't be allowed in here because she will fail the english test..or is there a way around this? applying for another type of visa perhaps? I was thinking she can maybe get some sort of student visa and then at least that way we could be together for 1 year...

Is she learning English? That would be the simplest way through the problem.0

Couldn't you get married in Burkina Faso? Would that be difficult?Love the animals: God has given them the rudiments of thought and joy untroubled. Do not trouble their joy, don't harrass them, don't deprive them of their happiness.0

the rules for all the various visas for the UK are here -

always best to check the official guidance, as it changes so much (its completely different from when I got married to a non-EU citizen).0 -

its not the marriage that would be the problem, its satisfying the language and other conditions for applying for a UK settlement visa.0 -
I you really want to be together get a job anywhere in Europe and apply for an EEA family permit which will be free .Well that is one way
The other way is get married apply for settlement visa but you will need lots of proof of the relationship being genuine ,do not give up because it if genuine you will get there keep all eveindence e maill phone bills photos .getting permanent residence for her will be harder but you would have plenty of time for this later .and for her to learn English which she will have to in the future to get permanent residence but that is few years down the line . but you need to get married over there then get settlement visa .
I you are interested i will pm a website that may be able to help you .0 -

Yes please..I do have a job in the Eu, in england lol..
ok here is part two: she may be pregnant..so if she has my child, a UK citizen, are they still going to try and keep them away from me, because she can't speak English? Surely this will open up a few other possibilities0 -
The only way is to ask her to learn English. A student visa will only set the standard of language ability higher.a half qualified cat

it won't make any difference I'm afraid, not for a UK settlement visa. They could use the argument that you could go live there as a family, rather than settle in the UK together.0 -
