Do you know the model of the Sony TV as Sainsbury?
The model at Sainsbury's is the Sony Bravia KDL 32U2000, at £699.99 (that's £300 reduction).

If anyone has any advice re. this model I'd be grateful, as I know next to nothing about televisions, in fact I stopped watching it when Brian Cant left Playschool.

Cannot see it online anywhere though? looks exactly the same as this: http://www.goodmans.co.uk/productdetails.aspx?pid=GTVL32W8HD&language=en-GB

The GTVL32W8HD (from Goodmans) & GTVL32W25HD (from Tesco) are very similar, if not the same?

This is the cheapest Samsung LCD I found. Could this be a dodgy site?

No, komplett are fine - they've been supplying PC components for years. :)

has anybody else who bought the acoustics solutions lcd tv from argos had problems with the sound?

I got mine from eBay (B- stock) for £260 (LCD32NK750HD). Quite good as it comes with wall brackets as standard. Speakers are fine, both work with no problems.

Picture quality is poor in my opinion (TV tuner or SCART). LCD still doesn't seem as crisp as a CRT TV. Its got a HDMI connector but as I don't have anything that transmits HD, I don't know if the picture would be any better. I've got it mounted on the bed room wall so its quite a distance away and hence the picture looks better.

I agree its a bit annoying to switch to different AV ports (ie tuner, SCART1, SCART2 etc), you have to wait for it to 'tune' to each AV port before you can move onto the next (there are about 6 'ports').

The delivery man said he probably would be back in a weeks time as he keeps on picking the units back up due to faulty TV tuners, they seem to 'die' very quickly. Read this in some reviews too. It doesn't matter too much as terrestrial TV is going soon plus I use the SCART for Telewest anyway.

I have just bought one of these TV's too and am very pleased with it but I am also struggling to find a Sky remote code to operate it.

Any help with the code would be greatly appreciated .. thank you :)
  • Hi guy's just read an earlier post where someone said that there is only 2 decent companies for LCD tv's, this was wrong, Samsung and LG supply the panels for most and these are regarded by the industry as the best 2. The new Sony bravia series has Samsung panels.
