ahhhhhhhhhhhh so until he starts paying his CC's up to date etc and taking their calls (instead of burying his head in the sand) I am screwed?! nightmare0
-
although if i am stuck with this CC - with the 0% period due to expire in jan - it will certainly give me a kick up the @rse to get paying it off if i have to pay interest!!0

I got my credit report last week and was really cross to realise the only "black marks" against me were my catalogue late payments. It's just an inconvenient time of the month, usually about 5 days before payday for me and even though they get their money I still have a long row of number 1's meaning late payment. No wonder no-one wants to give me interest free cards. Virgin raised my limit the other day though so it shows they all have different scoring methods.Smokefree since 27-9-20070

If you speak to the current credit card suppliers, they may increase your 0% deal if you say you wish to close your account with them.
I had a 6 month extension with RBS recently, so it can be done.

i suspect there are catalogue ones on there. how can i get rid of them, how long will they be there for!! i have paid my catalogues off now thank god!
I might try and speak to LTSB and get an extension - although if i have to speak to their call centre i may lose the will to live!0 -
how many CCs is it advisable to apply for. i was thinking of trying virgin too. although 2 in one month - will that just make things worse?0

likely to make things worse im afraid lou
I applied for a marbles card ( via quidco of course) and they approved it. once the papers started coming through the door I realised that it was only 0% n purchases not BTS. So I called them & cancelled it.
I applied for a johnlewis card ( again through quidco) a few days later and it was declined. As marbles hadnt u0pdated and it looked like i was applying like mad. So Ive left it.
Luckily I had some bank charges back so I didnt need it in the end. Pus I got the 20 quid from marbles paid through quidco - but I was gutted I got refused
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
loopy,
this is the whole 'for richer for poorer' vow I'm afraid!!
However, I'd wait until you get your report before trying another application - you need to know exactly what is on there, then we can help you make an informed choice.Debt free 4th April 2007.
