My brother has recently got custody of his daughter, at moment not sure if it will be on a permanent basis. He has had her for 3 months and as he is self employed and isn't able to work as much. My question is that unfortunatley he isn't upto date with his tax (3 years behind), will he be able to claim any benefits??

Is he getting child benefit?*SIGH*

If he has sole custody of the child, he is entitled to claim child benefit, working tax credit perhaps and child tax credits. And maintanence if relevant from mother!0

No he not getting anything yet, he got an appointment at CBA next week0
