Please help, faulty hoover from argos

I returned a faulty vax to my local argos store today that was 3 months old and i was given a full refund as this model was no longer in the catalogue. their was no mention of sending it back to Vax

Thank you all for your responses they are greatly appreciated. I did go into the Argos store and was told by the manager that I would have to go through Vax! I am not happy with this as I have seen that some people who have posted have had a replacement/refund when they have dealt with Argos. The courier dealing with Vax have also said that they cannot pick up the machine until Tuesday so I am going to be without a hoover for longer than was stated.

I would also like to say that it is hard to be without a hoover when you have children and pets and I don't like having a messy home so I didn't really appreciate the comments which were made regarding this. I only asked for some advice as I wasn't sure what my rights were. Thank you again to all who made positive comments and for youe helpful advice

Surely you could borrow a hoover from a friend/relative for ten minutes?

Send it back to VAX via the courier. You will get a new one back and sooner than the 7 days quoted.

I also had the same problem with Argos ( aggressive manager/staff) I was very pleased with VAX for their no quibble service.
I also have 2 large hairy dogs and it was moulting season, 2 kids and i worried about becoming a Yeti.
