If you're in no hurry then use the local 16a service which stops everywhere in between.

Should be €1.85 for an adult single from the airport to O'Connell St.0 -

8 to 13 fare stages cost €1.85 single.
Assuming that all info on the website is correct and up-to-date, Dublin Airport is fare stage 11. Thirteen fare stages I make it Fare Stage 23 (Dorset St / North Circular Rd) or 24 (Dorset St / North Frederick St), depending on whether Dublin Bus calculates fare stages inclusively or not. Anything beyond that costs €2.30 single. So, for example, a single to the Quayside should cost €2.30.0 -
You can get the 16a from the airport which goes through the city centre.
I can't remember the exact cost, but they do a ticket from the machine there (at the Dublin Airport bus stop) which is time limited and not charged by the number of stages/stops you go through - it is only a couple of Euro (but I can't remember the exact fare).
This is the cheapest way from the airport - and if traffic is not too bad, you will be able to get on another bus in the City Centre to your final destination (assuming you are travelling further on Dublin Bus)
The biggest difference between this bus and the Airporter/Airbus is the journey time - it is a regular but route and therefore has many more stops en route.

I didn't think the Luas went anywhere near the airport?
The Luas, in general though, is pretty good except approaching the centre at rush hour when it is jammed full.
I always used Aircoach. Ok it's EUR 7.00 but at least it's quick, cool and comfortable.:)0 -
Thanks for all the replies guys. I'm gonna go with the cheapest method and it'll leave me more money for the important stuff......:beer::beer::beer::beer::beer: :rotfl:0
