My peas (direct sown) have been out for several weeks, but am in sunny Devon.

My broads and peas have been in for awhile now. My runners and dwarf french beans went in last week.

Any frost should be mild now (touch wood)

    I'm in south wales.

One of my allotment neighbours is actually pulling some of his early spuds. He put them in in feb! and its been so mild he has got away with not having any frost problems.

East Herts last few days ago, we had a very sharp frost and had nearly killed my potatoes and some tender flowers died to. Nothing is free from frost till middle to end of may. Be warned.
    Kind Regards

My dwarf peas are producing pods and I have counted at least 12. They are outside in a raised bed

My dwarf french beans have been outside for weeks now and are growing fine in a planter

I haven`t used fleece on these but fleece is a very handy thing to have, just in case

I've had peas out for a good few weeks that were sown directly and planted my yellow mangetout yesterday.

Beans I am far more cautious with as we had a hard frost 15th May last year that wiped out loads on our allotment (south coast). I have some in the greenhouse that will go out end of May and will direct sow others shortly. Having said that the lady sharing my allotment this year has her French beans out and they were fine when I looked on Wednesday. I'm probably over cautious but am too lazy to start again so would rather wait a bit.
