Must admit in the days of poor customers service dabs stand head and shoulders above the rest.
Personally i would now avoid like the plague even if they were considerably cheaper than anyone else

I only ever used them years ago when they had something that worked out cheapest on market. Even then their prices were overall higher than rest of their competitors.
Owned by BT I think so what can you expect.
ebuyer or amazon for me.
Used to be jungle.com which was good too - till argos took it over and wiped it clean off the Earth. Why oh why...0 -

used them once in 2000/ never again! faulty product which they refused to refund for/ luckily, the manufacturer met the refund without any quibbles/ useless bunch of idiots ! really impolite too! Now, i tend to use Amazon for nearly all -- brilliant customer service ime  /BLOODBATH IN THE EVENING THEN? OR PERHAPS THE AFTERNOON? OR THE MORNING? OH, FORGET THIS MALARKEY!

Sounds like play.com - great when you don't have a problem, but non-existant service. They send you multiple contradictory automated advisories, and when you seek clarification then no one bothers replying!0

I had cause to return a faulty samsung monitor in 2008 to dabs - what a rigmarole. No phone number to call. You have to use the chat facility, its slow and finding the returns page seems to be convoluted IIRC like they didnt want you to find and use it.
dabs - never used them since!0 -

A different experience here!
I bought an LG monitor off them early last year for half-price! It was listed as an 'open box' item but looked as if it hadn't been touched .. still had the 'clingy' plastic wrap on the surround of the screen for example!.. a total bargain!!
Shortly after that I bought a Nvidia graphics card .. this time listed as 're-furbished' .. sadly I couldn't get it to work so back it went .. they refunded me straight away without any problems whatsoever .. the returns procedure was as easy as pie in my case!
So I would definitely use DABS again!
btw .. I believe they are now part of BT Wholesale ..0 -
I haven't used DABS for a couple of years now (I've been economising and have not been buying any new PC stuff (sigh!)). Before that however, I had used them frequently since 2000. I'd built a couple of PCs and got loads of other stuff. Had no problems even with returns (in one case returned memory that I had tried but turned out to be incompatible).
I realise that they have been bought out by BT (can't remember how long ago) and that may have impacted service. If it has then it's a shame because I was previously impressed with their service.Never let it get you down... unless it really is as bad as it seems.0 -
I have used DABS three times. I do not have any complain. The service/products were as requested and on time. So I did not have to use the customer service. I used DABS as I got better price for those items (I checked ebuyer, dabs, amazon, scan dot co do uk).0

BT - the kiss of death for customer service. DABS wasn't exactly brilliant before the Borg assimilated them - God knows what they are like now!
I stick with eBuyer (also no great shakes at CS) or Amazon.0
