OPC; DVLA ban lifted and still patrols Wolverhampton Retail Park!

  • A member of my family has just received a parking invoice from OPC.

Having just read the outcomes of various court cases that OPC have lost and their deliberate attempts in misleading the car users of St. Johns Retail Park W'ton, I am advising my family member to ignore their invoice.

Can any one confirm that the proof of who was driving is still their (OPC) responsibility?
Based on their unscrupulous record I am disgusted that the owners of St. John Retail Park still use this company. What does this say about their integrity? I will not be visiting this retail park.

The statement by Judge Daniel Pearce-Higgins QC

no loss caused was by breach of contract

must be a real blow to any Private Parasite Parking company if the shopper has actually bought goods from the shops in the retail park- no loss caused in fact the shops have profited by the visit.

Thanks to all that posted here with information and relevant links especially asbokid for that last post.

the onus continues to fall on the PPC to provide proof of driver ID (for the time being, at any rate), which is why it's important never to divulge this info.

as for the owners of the retail park: hell, yeah. it is disgusting.

Against OPC, yes OPC took people to court...

...and lost, quite badly, so I doubt they will be doing court again in a while
