Dark upvc - what colour wooden floor?

Hi,

Have dark (rosewood) upvc in my new house (already in and new so not replacing). I am going to have wooden floors put in the hall and kitchen and can't decide what colour floor to choose. The walls are going to be white.

I like walnut, dark woods, but worried it will be too dark or show dents / scratches more easily.

Any ideas?

my brother has dk wood floor, it shows all the dust, marks and goes streaky with that polish product you can get for floors, so they dont use that anymore,

Thanks for that, never thought about it showing up the dust more so than a lighter colour. Just not sure if a light colour will go with the dark upvc!
