Barclays O/D Balance Inconsistent

I constantly check my OD balance and have started logging the difference i have noted between the current cleared balance and the current statement balance. Is use a budget programme to log all my spending and have noticed that on a few days there is an extra £5.10 or so added to the current cleared balance each time.

Anyone know why this is and have I only picked this up because I Keep an eye on my account nearly every day.

Does this discrepancy have any bearing (small increase) on my monthly OD fee?
Why does the bank add this additional almost hidden sum of money to my OD balance. I say almost hidden because If I didn't check it religiously and as often I'm sure it would go unnoticed.

It mostly disappears by the next day.

I don't know Barclays specifics but the main things to affect account & available balance are, your overdraft, uncleared cheques and card earmarks.
