New Gas Boiler

I have recently changed to BG and thought I would give them a chance to "quote" me for a new boiler. (I live in south manchester) And was amazed when to Change the boiler and keep it in the same place ( and a power flush) they quoted £3197! of as I was a customer £50 per month for 10 years (thats £6,000). When i said i would have to talk it over with my partner he started to try the hard sell "if i discount it can you sign now" etc. Which i again said no.

Looking at the quote which he printed it shows
Valliant EcoTec Pro 28Kw Combi £899.96 (thought it was fair)
Installation (in same place as current) £1633
horizontal flue terminal £231
Internal condensate connection £78
Install boiler filling loop £22
Powerflush £331

Total inc VAT £3197

How much of the above is needed, and how much should i be looking to pay. we have a terrace property 3 beds and a total of 7 rads. fully insulated and dg'd

Would really appreciate help!

So room thermostat, programmer, wiring centre, zone valves and pump are staying?

Internal condensate connection, avoids frozen pipe, thumbs up.

I think you should aim for £2,000+VAT. They gotta make a living.

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Just been quoted for a new worcester combi and new wirelessthermostat control in hall new frost thermostat in garage where boiler is situated powercleanse and magnavalve installation and 2 yrs homecare and a few other things for 2600 but the 2 yr homecare free brings it down to 2200 we always have pd for the homecare ever since the christmas we moved in and was without heating or water for three days!!! It's left me traumatised! I was quoted 3300 a year ago for the same setup by BG SO THEY REALLY HAVE CUT THEIR PRICES !!! and 1800 by a local fitter which did not include the POWERCLEANSE magna valve or 2 yr homecare . We may just forget the magnavalve and save another 230 but havd not decided to yet we have to have it cleansed anyway or it makes your homecare agreement null and void, we grabbed this price as we were very pleased with it. Seems your price is a bit more but have you got a much different system to ours? boiler is same price as yours btw the more I think about it I am wondering if the salesman forgot to charge us for anything? eeekkkkkkk!
