Yellow Lines
In a road there is yellow lines, however the road was recently relayed only small section big enough for one car, however this part hasn't got the yellow lines on (since they haven't been repainted). Does this mean it is legal to park on this area, or am I still liable for a fine if I parked there, since it obviously doesn't have marks to say where the yellow lines should end?

Technically you can park on the whole stretch of road.0 -
The main part of the road has yellow lines, except two areas which have been relayed/tarmacked with no yellow lines on, one is quite close to a junction, so wouldn't want to park there, but the other is a bigger space and is far enough away from both junctions.0

Yes, but they will not terminate correctly and therefore are unenforceable.0 -
I'm still slightly wary of parking there, is there anywhere that actually has this written to prove that this isn't enforceable0

Yes you can park there as the lines will be invalid. But on the other hand there was lines there for a reason. So by parking there you will probably be inconveniencing other road users.0

Theres not really an issue parking there, a road before that there is only room for one car to go down at a time, so it will just mean they have to wait a moment before they can get past if there is a car parked there. It's not a main road either.0

So why did they put yellow lines down in the first place?Theres not really an issue parking there, a road before that there is only room for one car to go down at a time, so it will just mean they have to wait a moment before they can get past if there is a car parked there. Most likley because its a small stretch of road and the council didn't want to give away any more free parking than they do already, as just around the corner you can pay about £10 for parking.0

So that means instead of me driving down the road at a constant speed watching my fuel economy, I then have to brake and come to a stop. Then move off again when the car on the other side has passed. Great.0
