Good God! Do people really book this far in advance?

We haven't booked for July 2011 yet.

Im afraid yes, in my opinion far too early but the demand is there. There are 2 lots of people who book this early, those who can't afford to go this year and want to be able to save monthly and have something to look forward to next year and then those who go to the same place every year and want to guarantee getting in at the hotel they want. Last years summer launch (for 2011) was delayed and it was much better and we've still had loads of flight changes, canx and hotel changes, because you can't account for things that are going on in the world, the trouble in Tunisia, Egypt etc.

Yes Stephb - I fall into the "can't afford one this year" :(catagory!!! So I'm chuffed to have the opportunity to have a look for 2012. There are 5 of us so it's mega expensive - we've been self catering and AI. And in my opinion AI is better value for us. However, it's still a lot of dosh:eek: - at least I've got a year to save.....

been looking at the prices of all inclusive hoildays for 2012. These are ridiculous prices i'm afraid ordinary working class families will not be able to afford it.

COME ON TRAVEL COMPANIES GET REAL NOT GREEDY.

they cannot drink as they are given a childs armband so are they an adult or a child?

Yes we have booked already for Aug 2012, it was all done and dusted by 9.10am on the day they went on sale!

We book that early for both reasons, we can then pay a bit of each month over the next year or so and also where we like to go in Kefalonia is mostly repeat bookers and sells out quickly. By lunchtime there were only 2 rooms left for the dates we wanted to go!

Some are i think it depends where your looking at, i got my dads holiday for him, my mum and sister cheaper than he's paid in years and decent flight times from ema as a package instead of piecing it together and he's not been on this mays hol yet:)

We usually go to Turkey for our main holiday and I have found it works out much cheaper to book the flights as soon as they are released and then to piece it all together myself, rather than get a package deal. :money:

I booked the flights last May for this year's holiday in June, then in January I booked a basic, but clean and comfortable apartment in a nice apart hotel and the return shuttle bus airport transfers. The total cost for 3 adults, staying for 18 nights is £712 :D

I booked the return flights for June 2012, yesterday at a cost of £430.50 for the 3 of us.:j
