Hi all,

Planning on going down to Covent Gardens, London on 26 May, been looking on the trainline and it looks like £32 to King Cross and £38 back to S!!!!horpe on the same day, not booked yet so if anyone knows of anything cheaper that would be good (didn't think its too bad though) gonna get to kings cross for about 11 would be nice to get there earlier but double the price.

Can I ask, I need to get from Kings Cross to Covent Gardens, would I be better off getting a rail card in advance or just paying when I get there? I'm guessing its not gonna be a lot, but I've only been on a train a few times and as I'm going on my own was just looking for some advice. Thanks

    How about...
    Dep Sc*nthorpe 08:19, arr Kings Cross 11:01. Advance Single = £28.50.
    Dep Kings Cross 20:05, arr Sc*nthorpe 22:30. Advance Single = £28.50.

To get those prices you must booke via East Coast Trains website.

Remember, with Advance Singles you must travel on the booked train.

It'll be £4 cash single on the tube and only about £2 on the bus.
    DONT USE TRAINLINE.COM
Use East Coast's website instead(or other TOC sites, as wealdroam has shown)
  • Tube is an £2.65 as an addon to the train fare that wealdroam suggested.
