EBay! I buy most of my packing here - brown paper, bubble wrap, jiffy bags. Very difficult to beat the prices!!!

Poundland is also cheap for jiffy bags.

i go to a local printers and get a HUGE roll of brown paper and a really cheap price.Stupid me used to go to stationary world. Try looking in yellow pages for wholesale printer supplies- dont need to be a bussiness as they will take anyones cash !

I keep most of the packaging sent to me and reuse it.

I buy most other bits on EBAy sometimes not that much cheaper but beats getting the car out at 40p a mile and it is delivered to your door

i resue packaging that is sent to me, also last year i had a massive climbing frame delievered to me which had loads of bubble wrap they offered to take the packaging away with them and i quickly shouted no that will do for e-bay they looked at me weirdly went to there van and came out with the biggest roll off bubble wrap you have ever seen, must have about 100 meters on it and said here you go have this then.

i know that doesnt help you, but i was sooooo chuffed had to tell you all. :D
  • A recent thread advises Martin's chatters where they can find cheap cross-cut shredders and how these are so much safer than parrallel strip for preventing identity fraud. Fully agree with this and would urge all readers to switch to cross-cut BUT before we all throw away the parrallel cut shredders pse be advised of another use I have found for them.

By shredding old newspapers on a parrallel or strip shredder you can create an endless supply of free packaging material. This stuff is far better than the output of a cross-cut.

My first input to chat, hope it is of use.
