ebay/paypal discrepancy

I sold 2 items on ebay last night.

I've just go on to ebay and it says I'm awaiting payment for 1 item. So I presumed the money for the other item would now be in my paypal account. I've just go onto paypal tho and there's no trace of it. I've only been selling a couple of weeks, about 10 items, but never had this prob before.

Ebay saying I've been paid, paypal isn't showing it?

Did you get any email from paypal to notify payment received?
If not - its not paid.
You might have marked the item as paid accidentally in ebay?

Were 2 items sold to same person?
Is there a balance in paypal - it could be just your reading of the information - 2 items minus paypal fees.

thanks, I've just checked and I've not received an email from payapal. In all previous transactions I have had one saying "payment received", no they are to seperate buyers.

I don't think I've marked it as payment received, wouldn't know how! lol

My balance just says 10.00 pending but that relates to another item, my funds are placed in a holding as I'm a new seller.

You need to ask ebay where they think the money is.
Normally means raising a dispute like "payment not received" but go to ebay again first before going down dispute route.
What does the buyer say?

Maybe the buyer paid with credit card or something daft.

thanks I've just marked it as payment not received, though ebay then comes back at me and says payment was received. On ebay it says view transaction, yet when I click on it it doesn't give me anything of the sort, just a paypal login screen, then when I log in no details of it.

In paypal there is a History tab that lets you see transactions.
Again what does the buyer say - do they say they have paid?
Did they pay the right person - is your ebay account linked to the right paypal account etc.

Just log a call with ebay support to check out your paypal account and see what is going on.

thanks there's nothing in the history tab. I haven't heard back from buyer yet. Not sure how to log a call, it has allworked like clockwork for last 2 weeks. No idea what has happened

there is a chat online option to you could use - might not be a real person at start but you can get help from ebay and contact them in writing by doing above.
