Purchase Protection

I recently (within the last 6 weeks) bought some jewelry while in the Far East on business and paid using my credit card. Unfortunately, I have lost it now and wondered if I am protected in any way by the credit card.
Can anyone advise? Thanks.

Not as a statutory right, but some cards do offer their own policies for free.
Which company and which card is it?

    Did you have travel insurance?
Do you have the personal posessions option on your home insurance?
  • Hi!

    Card is mbna.

I have travel insurance but it is limited to £300 on loss of such items and the cost was much more.
    :(

I'd rather avoid involving home contents insurance for personal reasons.
