DFW New Years Money Resolutions

Have you made any resolutions with regards to money in the New Year?

I should know around 13th January whether the company I am working for will make my contract permanent. If they do make me permanent I will have a spare £170 left over at the end of every month which I have decided to use to pay off some of my husbands debts.

I haven't made any resolutions yet but I plan to do this very seriously and make 2007 a determined debt-busting year.

I have an interview tomorrow for some freelance work which would bring in £7,000 (on top of my regular work) so as you can imagine I am pinning lots of hopes on that. I have to do a presentation about my previous experience in this area which to be honest is not great, so I will have to project bags of confidence, which I dont really feel. Please everyone send me good vibes around 2pm!

I'm just determined that by the end of 2007 we will be able to save money and have no debts since around 1996! It might not happen next year but at least the end will be in sight by the end of next year.

  • Mines totally unrealistic and unachievable but my resolution is to get debt free in 2007!

I don't know how I'm gonna do it but I'm gonna give it my best shot! :)

If anyone can do it you can. I just found a printout of a PM you sent me about 5 or 6 weeks ago and your debts were over £24K in your signature. With progress like that you won't have any worries.

Look at you printing out the saucy PM's I sent you! ;):p
  • Mine sounds strange for a DFW but its to pay less off my debt and live a bit more. This year I cut back too much. So instead of £6,000 target (managed £5,000) it will be £3,000 or under £10,000 owed by the end of the year. My kids won't be young forever.
