Where can I get a car seat Buckle?

Hi I have bought a Honda Civic recently from a private seller, and stupidly didn't check the seat belts in the back seats, and have now noticed that one of the side passenger seats car seatbelt 'buckle' is missing.

Does anyone have any suggestions of where I can get one from. I was thinking scrap yard.

Thanks for reading.

Yes scrapyard, or ebay. The only thing is, if you get one from a scrappy the car may have been in an accident and the belt buckle may have been put under stress etc.

Stupid question but you have checked under the back seats? Nn some cars the back bench will lift up and the catches can drop below.

if its missing you would have to iirc buy a whole seatbelt unit.. but check under the rear bench or even behind the upright part.. as they seller could of had the rear seats down...

It would have been checked at the last MOT so where the f$%^ has it gone?

If its not hidden then go and ask the previous owner.

Which part exactly? it's damn near impossible to remove an actual buckle without cutting the seat belt.

Yep i have lifted the seat itself and looked under it, aswell as behind it. But nothing, all thats there is a metal plate with the lap belt attached to it. On the other side (left side of passenger) there is a metal plate with both buckles for both middle seat and left seatbelt.

How would you manage to remove the buckle without damaging the belt? I can't think of any way of doing it short of angle-grinding it off, and why would you do that?

If you do have to replace it, you'll need to buy a complete belt/buckle/inertia reel assembly, as they don't separate into components. Should be cheap from a scrappy, as I shouldn't think there is much call for them.

    Here you go...

Claims to have sold three already.
Seems that a vanishing buckle might be quite common. ;)

Maybe it's one of the OP's belts. :D
