Vanquis Credit Limit Increase

I got a Vanquis Credit Card towards the end of last year and have always paid it off in full every month. I had a letter last month saying that my credit limit was being increased on my next statement (which was 3rd May) but I've just checked my account online and it hasn't been increased.
Just wondering if anyone else has had the same letter and did your credit limit increase on the day of your statement or after a few days or on your statement 'payment due date'?

What was the date of the letter? It won't be increased until 30 days or more after this date.0

It said that my credit limit will increase with my May Statement and gave 3rd May as the date.0 -
Yeds - but what was the date of the letter? The content may have been wrong as they can't ignore the 30 days.0

Not sure as I don't have the letter with me.0

The increase isn't instant; it takes a few days to a week to update - if you call them they will tell you exactly when it is due on to the account. You'll note the letter said you needed to keep your account in good order, and they need a few days to check this.BCSC Member 70:j

Yeah the letter did say I needed to keep the account in good order, which I have done. I was close to the limit a couple of weeks ago so paid half the balance, then the rest went out of my account last week to pay the rest of (as I pay by DD).
Will try giving them a call.0 -
Hey, could you give us an update? Theres hundreds of posts like this but no one seemed to update with the actual answer once they got it
How long after the 3rd was it before they applied your increase?

I spoke to Vanquis and got the answers... thought i'd post up for anyone searching in the future...
My statement date was the 18th of August. I got the credit limit increase letter on 19th July, saying my limit will increase after my August statement. My statement arrived on 18th August but no limit increase. Vanquis said it's due to go on my account on the 23rd August, so its approx 5 days after your statement date.
The friendly chap on the phone did say that it can take up to 5 days from the 23rd to show on the account, so all in all could be up to 10 days from the statement date.
He said going over your limit by even a penny would stop the limit increase from happening, so like everyone has said, stay well within your limits. He said to give them a call back on the 23rd to make sure it went ahead and then its just a case of waiting for it to show.0
