Just a quick update - changing the account type from "1" to "0" in the Barclays BusinessMaster software did the trick (Although Barclays told us it would make no difference!).
We put a small amount through via BACS on Tuesday, and its shown up correctly in my Smile account this morning.
So, partly a case of Smile being pedantic & partly Barclays being clueless I think!0 -
tha accoun ttype suffix goes at the beggining of the account number, but only for internal purposes. an 8 digit act number should suffice alog with a 6 digit s/code, there fobbing you off by blaming barclays.0
