Need some new ideas?

Hi all,

Im starting to run out of cheap/free ideas of things i can do with my boyfriend when i get to see him on weekends.

We have done alot of bike riding, walks, carboots and group boardgames with mates. But i am looking to see if anyone has any new ideas that we could try?

sorry if i am the millionth person to ask this, i couldnt see anything directly relating! :D

Check out the "tourist" website for your nearest city. You will most likely find lots of info regarding freebie venues (such as art galleries etc) as well as freebie/cheap events (festivals, concerts, amateur plays etc).

Despite being from Glasgow whenever I go home for holidays (summer etc) I check out the tourist info to see whats going on!

I'm currently living in Madrid and frequently inform my co-workers (whom are locals) about up-coming events as I keep up to date with tourist info lol!

What about inviting friends over for dinner and taking it in turns to go to theirs? e.g. hubby and I have friends over for enchiladas tomorrow, total cost approx £10 for 4 people for two courses.

Are there any museums near you? They tend to be free/low cost to enter.

Picnics now that the weather is getting nicer?

Movie night? Microwave popcorn, dvd, bottle of wine?

Beauty night? (depends what kind of man you have lol) Bath together, face masks, massages, candles and romantic music...

Meritaten, no matter how interesting you find someone, it's still nice to get out and about! I prefer being out with my husband than being cooped up in the house!

    Absolutely!

When husband and I are at home we tend to independently read books, surf Internet etc.. We rarely even sit down to watch tv/films together as we both prefer watching stuff in our own first languages!

I love going out and about - even if it is just wandering around a park/gallery etc.

But its NOT the OPs husband! its her boyfriend! and in the boyfriend/girlfriend stage I would have been happy just sitting in a bus shelter! as long as I was WITH him!

True - at the dating stage I would have happily sat in a bus shelter - however I still planned stuff as it made our time together more interesting.

    LOL!

Thanks for all the other suggestions. I do enjoy his company, but we are the kind of couple that likes to go out an about and check new and interesting things out!!

I cant imagion anyone stays in completely alone with just their other half day in and day out doing absolutely nothing. very isolated life.

Thanks also for the tourist website idea, as im at uni i have home and my uni citys tocheck out this way!

As for the beauty night, ive tried that! massages are as far as ive got! :D :rotfl:
