swinton car insurance cash back

Hi all,
I renewed my car insurance last month with swinton, and they offered me £70 cashback which had to be claimed within 30 days and gets paid after 3 months.
I filed the paperwork away and completely forgot to claim the cashback. I have missed the 30 day period by a week. Do you think i've got any chance of getting it if i try to explain to them i made a mistake... how would be the best way to do this, or is it unlikely?

Usually with cashback offers if you break the offer terms then you lose.

But nothing lost by trying a bit of grovelling!
