How many roof tiles needed?

Can anybody tell me how to work out how many roof tiles i'll need for my ground floor extension?
The room will be 8m x 3.5m, Marley modern tiles on a pitched roof.

    All the info is on their site. If it is these one:-

    Then you need to work out the pitch of the roof, this will tell you the headlap required (that is how much each tile over laps the one below) then it gives the figure for the number of tiles per meter square.

    The area depends on the pitch again, the steeper the bigger the area, but because the headlap reduces as it gets steeper then you need less tiles.

    Yes, as above. Although in practice, it's more likely you will need to work out how many rows of full tiles are best for the area in question and then adjust the headlap accordingly, making sure you have at least the minimum for your pitch.

    Basically, no one can tell you unless the degree pitch is know and the actual surface area this then covers, including covering the over-hang of the soffit and fascia.

    I worked mine out roughly and ended up with 12 to 14 spares, which is no bad thing. At less than a £1 each it wasn't worth being so precise.

    marley eternit plain tiles will require 60 tiles per sq m.

    27p each last time i bought some.
